I’ve just passed the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.

I sat the exam using the new online option which means I could take the exam in a meeting room at work. And do it on my own laptop instead of having to travel to a testing centre.

What Does the Exam Cover?

The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a foundation level certification that tests knowledge of core services, security, cost, and support. It isn’t designed to test in-depth knowledge of AWS services and requires a high level knowledge of Cloud Computing.

Cloud Concepts – 28%
Security – 24%
Technology – 36%
Billing and Pricing – 12%

If you’re studying toward the Solutions Architect or Developer Associate exams you’ll probably have the Technology domain covered. But you will need to make sure you have enough knowledge of the Billing and Pricing domain.
